Mission Statement

WUSC (World University Service of Canada) is a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to improving education,
employment, and empowerment opportunities for youth, women, refugees, and other marginalized people around the world.

Countries of Involvement

Barbados, Bolivia, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Colombia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dominica, Ghana, Guyana, Jamaica, Jordan, Kenya, Malawi, Mongolia, Nepal, Peru, Saint Lucia, Sri Lanka, United Republic of Tanzania, Vietnam

WUSC has extensive experience in recruiting, selecting, training and supporting volunteers for development projects and programs. We work with partners when appropriate to offer support services to recruit and manage international and national volunteers. This would be of interest to SEEP members who manage development projects and would like to integrate volunteers into these projects, or to members based in WUSC's countries of operation who would like to access specific technical assistance that can be sourced from a long or short-term volunteer.
WUSC has decades of programming in vocational training and youth employment and has robust program models to support these. We have an emerging body of program and project management tools that support inclusive market systems development planning, monitoring and evaluation. SEEP members that manage market systems
development projects may have interest in training in these tools.
WUSC works with private, public and not-for-profit partners are particularly open to engagements that bring together non-traditional partners.
