Summary

The study provides a situational analysis of youth employment in Ghana and Senegal. It sought to identify sectors with the highest employment potential, employers’ perceptions for hiring young people, minimum skills requirements, existing gender differentials in hiring practices, and existing interventions by businesses to promote youth employment. The study thus provides labour market information to employment actors including youth, employers, education and training institutions, Government, financial and technical partners, etc.
