Action Research

This paper is structured as a technical interview with practitioners from MFIs which have implemented process mapping in their respective organizations and investigates the process followed as well as experiences encountered during the implementation of process mapping.

This paper describes four risk-sharing models pilot-tested by PLP research partners ACCION and El Comercio; Caja Nor Peru; and IDE India. The paper was presented at conference “Rural Finance Research: Moving Results into Policies and Practice,” March 19-21, 2007, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) headquarters in Rome.

This is a case study of process mapping in Pro Mujer Nicaragua. Document offers a background to Pro Mujer's work in the country of Nicaragua. Outlines the "process" of process mapping, and shows how changes and improvements were made. Discusses the successes and future steps of Pro Mujer as a result of process mapping.

This is a case study of MI-BOSPO's experience with process mapping. Gives institutional and country context of MI-BOSPO. Shows the how MI-BOSPO used process mapping as an analytic tool. Shows how problems were analyzed and how short and long term solutions were applied to improve the functions of MI-BOSPO. Outlines successes, and concludes that process mapping led to lower costs and increased customer satisfaction.
