Responsible finance is a cornerstone of the World Bank Group’s Universal Financial Access Goals by 2020 and contributes to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. This year’s Responsible Finance Forum (RFF) will be held in Xi’an, China on May 26, 2016, following China’s Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI) Meetings on Consumer Protection & Financial Literacy on May 24-25th. Given unprecedented shifts in the global financial sector landscape, the Forum will convene private and public sector leaders to address enduring risks for consumers, providers and investors of digital financial services, as well as their implications towards reaching the last mile to achieve broader financial inclusion.
The Responsible Finance Forum will highlight the Asia region’s unique challenges, opportunities and emerging solutions for scaling digital finance. The Forum will feature key trends such as: alternative market-based finance, or peer-to-peer (P2P) lending and crowdfunding; responsible digital payments principles; managing risks for customers and institutions; big data innovation, the role of data privacy and security; as well as digital distribution of insurance.
