MFIN as a Self Regulatory Organisation
A Self Regulatory Organization is a non-governmental body which through a consensus based approach has acquired the authority to enforce industry code of conduct and regulations. In essence a SRO is to be viewed as an industry supported ''public good" which promotes ethical business practices and client protection. For this purpose, it may get formal recognition from the government or the concerned statutory regulators - as MFIN has received from the RBI.
