Significant challenges remain toward building a more inclusive financial system that empowers the world’s poor to make and act upon economic decisions--increasing opportunities, securing households, and reducing poverty. Stakeholders from the public and private sectors are partnering across industries and sectors to jointly tackle key issues, share common pitfalls and best practices, and identify innovative ways to meet the financial needs of the millions of poor and financially excluded around the world.
This session will discuss some of the collaborative partnerships to promote improved and expanded access to financial services and how civil society, governments and the private sector can work together to prepare families to be resilient to unforeseen shocks and able to provide for the needs of their families today and tomorrow.
