Description: The growing pool of HMF practitioners is evidencing how HMF is becoming an increasingly attractive proposition to MFIs seeking new business opportunities, to retain good clients or achieve greater social returns.Housing Microfinance (HMF) products is a great way to expand your current product mix while increasing your double bottom line. This training will teach microfinance practitioners, in a systematic way, to design HMF products with non-financial housing support services which will be costumized to fit the cultural and institutional needs and capacities, while keeping in the center the client's needs preferences and capacities. This workshop has been conducted at different conferences. It was rated as “excellent” by the participants at the “Hanson Wade” conference during 2011, among which were Omidyar Network, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Banco de Credito del Peru, and Microdreams. It was also conducted during the SEEP conference last year with great success, having surpassed the limit of attendants.

Target Audience: This training is directed at all microfinance practitioners, especially upper management, who are interested in increasing their double bottom line with housing microfinance products.
Trainers: Sandra Prieto-Callison
Sandra Prieto-Callison serves as the global Associate Director of Advisory Services for the Housing Finance and Market Development team at Habitat for Humanity International. She is responsible to oversee, and advance the global operations of the Center for Innovation in Shelter and Finance.
Patrick Kelley serves as global Director of Housing Finance and Market Development for Habitat for Humanity International’s work in over 90 countries worldwide. His responsibilities include directing Habitat’s global strategy for market driven initiatives.
