From Education to Employment: Solutions to Tackle Youth Unemployment by Bridging the Job Market Gap

Aug 11, 2015 (Tue), 9:00am-10:00am (US EDT)

Youth unemployment is one of the greatest and most complex challenges of our time, and among many other factors, the widening gap between the education system and the labor market is a driving force of youth unemployment in many countries. Due to the complexity of the issue, the resolution of global youth unemployment requires the collective effort of a variety of stakeholders, including educators, public policy and employers.

This webinar takes a deep dive into the crisis and seeks to disentangle the factors and actors that collectively led to it. Moreover, it provides insights into challenges and opportunities that arise at the intersection of the education system and the labor market. To conclude, it offers a variety of creative ideas for how each and everyone of us can get actively involved in his or her daily function to help and tackle youth unemployment.
