Faculty (Research)

Principal Responsibilities: 1. Effectively conduct Research in diverse areas of microfinance under the guidance of Manger Research 2. To prepare Reports 3. To take responsibility for logistical arrangements for Research related activities 4. Assist Research Manager in designing and conducting Research related meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences. 5. Other tasks as allotted by the Research Manager Qualification and experience: Postgraduate in social sciences / Rural Management / MBA. Atleast 3-5 years of experience in effective training in the microfinance sector. The Candidate should be committed to the cause of poverty alleviation. The candidate should be able to travel extensively and work under challenging circumstances in the field. This position requires skills in qualitative and quantitave research methods used within development. Experience in community based research, monitoring and evaluation; management of projects, networking abilities, ability to relate and communicate with communities, understand cross-cultural context. Understanding of economic and social policy in Indiais required. Proficient in computer knowledge The candidate must possess ability to be a part of the team and lead by example; excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals. Additionally, the candidate must be organized with the ability to multi task, be flexible, pay attention to details and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English is essential. Salary will commensurate with experience.
