Job opening: IT/ Web Coordinator at the SEEP Network

The Information Technology (IT) / Web Coordinator is responsible for software, hardware, and network support, training, and troubleshooting on a wide range of applications. S/he is also responsible for the organization, appearance and functionality of The SEEP Network’s external and internal websites.

IT Support Function
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of software. Perform hardware/ software upgrades, as needed. Analyze and recommend new applications, as required.
  • Respond to user requests for support and determine the nature and extent of support required, acting as point of contact for outside support, when required.
  • Contact vendors to obtain specifications, pricing, and other purchase related information needed to guide the organization in its selection of software and hardware.
  • Train staff in basic computer skills, as required.
  • Act as liaison with service providers that provide SEEP’s Internet connection, firewall and e-mail.
  • Maintain contact management system.
  • Maintain internal posting and control of documents, forms, and related data.
  • Stay informed on new developments and trends in IT and related technologies.
  • Other IT duties, as required.
Website Management Function
  • Maintain and update internal and external websites to ensure functionality, consistency, accuracy and timeliness of information, taking responsibility for all scripting and programming.
  • Act as liaison with organizations that maintain and host SEEP websites.
  • Research new web technology and trends.
  • Other website management duties, as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience, or relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise and experience working on and supporting business websites.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire to maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues and service providers.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to receive direction and proactively resolve challenges and issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and all popular web browsers.
  • Knowledge of website internationalization issues and experience developing websites in multiple languages a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
  • U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
