Date: 1 Apr 2008 - 30 Sep 2008
Location: Torino, Italy and/or Distance Learning
Program/Working Group:
The International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITC ILO) is happy to announce a new distance learning course with a face to face option developed by the ITC ILO and Mary McVay.
The course is highly relevant for professionals in the fields of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise development, Private Sector Dev. Economic Reconstruction, Local Economic Development and livelihoods, Employment and Microfinance.
The extensive course materials are based on seven years of the ILO "Annual Seminar on developing Value Chains and Business Service Markets", its reader and lessons from enterprise development programs that have reached thousands of small enterprises in rural and urban areas. We call it “market development for pro-poor growth” because it harnesses the power of markets to strengthen small-scale enterprises, generating jobs and benefits for the poor.
The course offers a unique on-the-job learning opportunity using practical tools. Participants select a work challenge as an assignment during the course and get support from experienced international experts that act as online tutors. The course is offered in optional modules to match your learning and scheduling needs.
A mid-course 4 day face-to-face seminar is foreseen in September 2008 to enable participants to meet and strengthen networks among them and the international trainers, better adapt the learning to their target group and get an update on latest developments.

- Single Module Distance: 550 Euro

- Full Course Premium (four modules and face-to face option): 2,750 Euro
