9:15 - 10:45          Session 1: "MF Associations and Rural Finance: Experiences from Africa"

The objective of this session is to learn about the roles that microfinance associations in Africa are playing in promoting rural finance within their membership and the sector at large. The experience of networks and associations in rural finance will be discussed and key lessons about their activities, achievements and challenges will be shared.

11:15 - 12:45          Session 2: "Innovative products and services for the MF Associations - technology solutions"

This session will focus on examples related to the use of technology for the design of new products and services such as transfers, E-money, E-wallet, for payment instruments and to define the role of the Networks in the design and implementation of these initiatives and the piloting of these initiatives by the Microfinance Associations.

This session will be organized as a mini training session, facilitated by Mr. Boubacar Diallo, an Expert in M&E who has collaborated in the effort to develop the SEEP Network M&E guide, to help associations think through their M&E development/revision process and how to use the guide for that purpose.
